Baby teething pain can be so annoying for the baby. She cannot feel calm and tends to be so fussy. You as a parent should not be emotional in dealing with this condition. Vegetables are not so common to be used as teething remedy. But you need to know that one point in helping your baby is giving something to chomp on. Vegetables that are usually used as pain remedy are carrots and cucumbers especially baby cucumbers. Some parents also give parsnips and potatoes to their baby. The reason behind the use of vegetable is they do not easily break but they dissolve. Those vegetables do not have strong flavor that makes them ideal choice. Additionally, they do not contain anything which may affect your baby’s stomach negatively.
There is nothing to worry about gluten intolerance that usually appears related to the wheat products consumption. You should go for vegetables as teething remedy for your baby since they are sugar free. However, you have to make sure that your baby chews and gnaws the vegetables under your supervision. You have to wash the vegetables before giving them to your baby. Do not cut the vegetables too small since your baby can swallow the cuts. Too big cuts will make your baby difficult to put them into their mouth. It is better for you to put the vegetables in the fridge before giving them to your baby.
