| My Name is Sheri Olivas, RN and I practice the Healing Arts through Energy Medicine. I designed this site to help people learn about healers and energy medicine to help them connect with one in their area. As well as helping healers connect to those who need us. My vision is to eventually turn Oregon Healers into a non profit organization that brings healing to all who need it on a donation basis, as long as they have the desire to take control of their health and well being. | About Me |
| All my life I have been drawn to the healing arts and helping others. As a small child I was always collecting rocks. In my teens I was drawn to crystals. In my early twenties it became herbs and all stones and their properties. At the age of 24 I decided I was called to be a nurse so I went to Clackamas Community College. In 1991 I took the LPN Oregon State boards and got my LPN license. In 1992 I graduated from Clackamas Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science Nursing. Took the RN boards and received my license in September 1992. I have worked as an RN since that time. First in Nursing homes and finally I accepted a job for Kaiser Permanente in January 2000. At Kaiser I continued to learn. I worked in Medical followed by surgical floor nursing. I then worked in the Critical care arena. Always searching for what I really felt good about doing. It was during this time that I discovered Reiki, the first form of Energy Medicine I learned about. A friend of mine did my attunements for me. Which was in 2002, but I never felt like a Reiki Master so I did not use it. After critical care I chose to work as the Med-Surg arena nurse. This entailed helping on all the floors and being a resource person to the hospital. I took the Reiki attunements again from someone with credentials receiving my Reiki Master in 2005. But I could not use it on my patients at Kaiser. Then my supervisor handed me a flyer on an upcoming Healing Touch class (another form of Energy Medicine) and told me Kaiser would pay for me to go to it. So I took Healing Touch level 1 in August of 2005, and I loved it. I had finally found what worked for me and my true calling. I was also able to do healing Touch on my patients in the hospital and chart it. I took Healing Touch Level 2 in October 2006, Level 3 in January 2007, and Level 4 in November 2007. I will take Level 5 in November or December of 2008, and then I will qualify to apply for certification in March of 2009. From there I hope to become an Instructor as I feel everyone should learn how to do Healing touch. That is why I started this web page. So that I could reach as many people as possible to tell them about Energy Medicine and Healing Touch. In January of 2008 I had the opportunity to open my own office on Hawthorne Blvd. Now I need to build a client base so that people who experience what I have to offer will spread the word to even more people. |

| What to expect at an appointment: The first visit will last about one and one half hours. Subsequent visits will last from firty-five minutes to sixty minutes. You lie down fully clothed on a massage table. The practitioner's hands will move above or lightly touch your body. Many people relax so deeply during a session that they drift in and out of a restful sleep. Many feel refreshed, stronger and some are even free of their earlier existing problem. There is no guarantee what the results will be, except you will feel more relaxed |
| There should be an "energy exchange" for a treatment. This "energy exchange" can be in the form of cash payment, or a trade of some sort. The idea is that the patient is expected to regard the treatment as having a value up front and is willing/prepared to invest him/herself in the healing process. |

| Susan Ruecker has been studying and practicing Energy Medicine for over 3 years, after leaving a successful computer programming career to follow her calling of helping others at the deepest level. She enjoys providing Healing Touch Energy Medicine to both people and animals. She has completed Level 4 in Healing Touch as well as Level 2 in Healing Touch for Animals on horses and dogs. She has also trained in Pranic Healing, Body Talk Access, EFT, Quantum Touch, The Art of Energy Healing, TTouch, Flower Essences, and animal communication. In her apare time she practices Vipassana Meditation, Yoga, Nia, and Tai Chi, when not playing the piano while accomanied by her singing dog Luke. Currently a Healing Touch Level 4 Practicioners Apprentice, Susan will be taking Level 5 of Healing Touch in November of 2008. She expects to be Certifed in Healing Touch by January, 2009. |
